These boys are unnaturally skilled craftsmen. They build the frame of my granny-flat within a week and finished completed the colorborn roof with a day.

Roofing FAQs

Common questions about roofing and re-roofing in Sydney

Yes—tile-to-Colorbond® upgrades are common. We check structure, add sarking/insulation as specified, and finish with correct flashings. This is a popular choice for reducing roof weight, improving energy efficiency, and achieving a modern look. We'll assess your existing structure and provide recommendations during the site visit.

Typical single-storey homes take 2–5 days, weather and complexity depending. Two-storey or larger homes may take longer. We'll give you a clear schedule before work starts and keep you updated throughout the project. Weather windows are planned into the timeline to avoid delays.

Often not for like-for-like replacement; changes to materials, colour, or roof appearance may require council approval or complying development certificates. Requirements vary by suburb and local planning rules. We'll advise based on your location and the scope of works during our initial consultation.

We stage works and use temporary coverings (tarps, sarking) to keep your home dry during the re-roofing process. Weather windows are planned into the schedule, and we monitor forecasts closely. If heavy rain is expected, we'll delay the strip-off until conditions improve to protect your property.

If asbestos-containing materials are present in your roof (common in older homes), we coordinate a licensed asbestos removalist to safely remove and dispose of these materials in line with WorkSafe and EPA regulations. This is arranged before any other roofing work begins, ensuring full compliance and safety.

Yes—all roofing materials come with manufacturer warranties (typically 10-50 years depending on product), plus we provide a workmanship warranty from Pitched Carpentry Group. Warranty terms are detailed in your quote and vary by product type. We stand behind our installations long-term.
